Here’s What’s Been On My Heart
⏸ The Pause That Changed Everything For Me…
Ask yourself, when was the last time you truly paused… take a moment.
Not a quick break to scroll or check notifications but a real pause, one where you stopped doing, thinking, planning, and simply let yourself be. The kind of pause where your shoulders drop, your breath slows, and you remember: you don’t have to keep rushing to be worthy.
In a world that praises productivity and constant motion, pausing can feel radical and there are some things just cannot be forced. If you rush it, you’ll ruin it. That goes for healing, for growth, for creativity, for relationships. There’s power in slowing down…
pause, pray, patience.
Taking a pause doesn’t mean quitting or disconnecting. It means recalibrating. It means responding instead of reacting. It means choosing presence. Lately, I’ve been practicing this in small but powerful ways— taking a moment before I respond, consciously making a choice. Not assuming, not reacting harshly, not letting the moment sweep me away. Just breathing. Checking in. Coming back to myself.
The moment you pause, you step out of the current. The world keeps rushing, but you’re no longer being swept away.
This space is where the magic lives.
In a fast-paced world that glorifies motion, stillness becomes a quiet, sacred rebellion.
Recently, while working with one of my mentors in a space that felt safe and supportive, I noticed myself slipping into judgment, both inward and outward. Instead of pushing it down or spiraling with it, I paused and asked, “What am I avoiding? What part of me needs attention?” Often, underneath the impulse is a deeper truth. Sometimes it’s pain, fear, or just exhaustion.
When I choose to pause and meet it, I come back to clarity. I remember what’s mine, what’s not, and what’s asking to be seen.
Be present. Pause. Feel the shift in energy.
A single pause can part the chaos like sunlight through a storm, and suddenly you see clearly again. This is something you can access at any moment, no matter where you are.
When life feels overwhelming or loud, remember that you already know what to do.
Pause.
Find your breath.
Bring your attention inward.
Come home to yourself.
This is where your power lives.
This is where your clarity returns.
And here is the most exquisite paradox:
The moment you release the need to control, you realize you’ve had it all along.
I see you.
You’re doing the work, and it shows.
Keep shining.
