The Spaces In Between

The part you’ve been skipping over is where it’s all happening 🫧

The spaces in between are where the magic actually occurs.

In yoga, we’re often focused on the pose. Getting into it, holding it, doing it “right.” But the real transformation doesn’t just happen in the shape. It happens in the transition. In the moment where you’re no longer where you were, but not yet where you’re going.

That same space exists everywhere.

In the pause between an inhale and an exhale.
In the brief stillness between thoughts.
In the in-between seasons of life, where nothing feels fully clear yet.

We tend to rush through these moments. We want the answer, the next step, the resolution. We assume that if nothing is obvious, nothing is happening.

This is where we get uncomfortable. Where we reach for distraction, answers, or control. Where we try to move ourselves out of the moment instead of being in it.

But the in-between is not empty. It’s where awareness deepens. It’s where your nervous system recalibrates. It’s where you meet yourself without distraction.

This is your gateway to a deeper level of consciousness. It’s how you expand your focus on the present moment, where you already have everything you need. When you are truly present, you operate at your fullest potential, and as your most authentic self. This is where the unseen becomes seen. Where the unknown becomes known. Where you are supported and held in ways you may not always recognize.

What you’re searching for is not somewhere far away. It’s right here, in the moments you usually move past too quickly.

The practice isn’t to figure it out. It’s to notice when you’re rushing past the moment, and choose to stay, even for a second longer.

When you’re present in these spaces, you’re no longer operating from reaction or habit. You’re operating from clarity. From regulation. From your highest quality. From your truest self.

Stay With It

Mini Mission for Staying in the Space In between

🌬 Pause Between Breaths

(10 energy points)
Take one slow inhale through your nose. At the top, pause. Notice the stillness before the exhale begins. Stay there for just a moment longer than you normally would.

🫶 Notice the Urge to Move

(20 energy points)
As you pause, feel for the impulse to rush. To move on. To fill the space. Simply notice it without acting on it.

🌿 Stay With What’s Here

(30 energy points)
Bring awareness to your body. Sensations, tension, ease, breath. Let the moment be exactly as it is, without trying to change it.

💭 Return, Gently

(40 energy points)
Throughout your day, catch one moment where you would normally rush past. A breath, a pause, a transition. Stay for one second longer.

It’s normal and natural that when you stop to slow down and really allow yourself to be in the stillness, different, and sometimes uncomfortable, thoughts begin to come into your space.

That doesn’t mean anything is wrong. It means you’re actually present enough to notice. There’s no reason to judge whatever comes up for you. It’s not about avoiding or hiding from these feelings or emotions. It’s about feeling them, and allowing them to move through you.

Not holding onto them. Not making them mean something about you. Feel it to heal it. Let it move through. You do not have to hold on to all of these things that feel so heavy. What comes up is not here to stay. It’s here to pass through you, if you let it.

You don’t need to rush it. You don’t need to fix it. You don’t need to push it away. You’re doing all the right things just by being here, right now.

XO, Liv
